Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas †
I am Vincent Oord, an Information Science graduate (MSc.) from the University of Amsterdam. I was born in 1983 in Amstelveen, The Netherlands, but nowadays I live in Amsterdam. Currently I'm looking for a nice job as a usability engineer or as an information systems consultant. Anything involving new innovative (web) technologies tickles my fancy.
I'm a big fan of simplicity. I like visual design. I ♥ user centered, user friendly applications. I'm sort of a web standardista. I don't like coffee, in stead I drink lots of tea, especially Real Indian Chai.
I like to travel. I've seen most of Europe, I've been to New York and China and after graduation I embarked on a sixth-and-a-half month journey to Japan, India, Bhutan and Nepal. To visit a friend, to emerge in a different culture and to teach English to children.
Japan showed me how great visual design can improve the user friendliness of daily life. India gave me a sensory overload. In Bhutan I experienced Bhuddism. Nepal taught me the values of well organised development aid.
